Entry 10 Usage of slang.

Yes I do use slangs in my everyday conversation this because of the group of friends I interact on a day to day basis. Culture in Trinidad has that influence on us that it becomes so natural to use slang when sending messages. Using ‘slangs’ is an easier way to relate to each other than using words that one will have to stop and explain the meaning. It is also time consuming.
Yes and No in reference to if slang is appropriate. It’s most appropriate when socializing with your friends of you age group. However it can be seem uneducated or disrespectful if you use slang to someone older than you. Also when deliver public speech it may be good to use slang in comparison to what is the topic of conversation because it can help you to keep your audience in tune to you but using too much of slang then can also show a form of lacking vocabulary skills and communication.
